ROUNDTABLE WEBINAR EVENTS

The Collaborate Sports Interactive Webinars focuses on real-world learning, immersive discussion and collaboration.

Speakers will utilise the session to provide thought-provoking discussion and reflection as opposed to a lecture-style webinar. So, take a look at the sessions below and sign up to join us as part of your own personal development!

Topic: Task-specific neuromuscular fatigue monitoring using GPS

Collaborator: Michael Gerhardy - Co-Founder of RunUp Performance

When: 10th February - 730pm GMT

Michael is a soon-to-be-completed PhD Researcher at Deakin University who investigated the influence of neuromuscular fatigue from running-based HIIT on adaptations to resistance training during concurrent training. In addition, Michael specialises in helping teams/organisations improve their neuromuscular fatigue monitoring practices in applied environments. Michael is also the Creator of RunUp Performance fatigue monitoring software, which uses GPS IMU data to detect neuromuscular fatigue in individuals via changes in running strategies over time, which helps add another layer of fatigue monitoring for coaches without extra burden on athletes.

Learning outcomes:

  • The importance of understanding neuromuscular fatigue and its task-specific nature.

  • Current approaches for monitoring neuromuscular fatigue in athletes and why we can do better as practitioners.

  • Identify and understand the key metrics associated with neuromuscular fatigue during running.

  • Taking advantage of the technology you already use to monitor running-specific neuromuscular fatigue.

  • How to create a monitoring workflow useful for everyday practice using RunUp Performance software.
